Award Giving Ceremony

The awards to the winners will be given during our award ceremony, where all participants are invited. Please be informed that winners will only be announced during the ceremony and not earlier. Further details are as below.

Date - 17th February 2007
Time - 8.00 – 10.30 pm
Venue - Main hall, INTEC, UITM campus section 17, Shah Alam.

How to get started!

Now that's a very good question! You can actually get started right now! Get a group of friends as your cast members or you can even do it alone ( the ' I am legend' style). Then, you can start filming your movie, according to our rules, which are also posted in this page. Once the movie is complete, you can either send your movie in digital format to Mr.Brian's address( posted in this page too) or you can send a direct link of your video to deutschefilmwettbewerb@gmail.com . A panel of judges will evaluate the movies and pick winners.

Deutsche Woche 2008 (German Week 2008)

German Week is a yearly event hold by the committee of Der Klub, the student society of German bounded students of Intec, Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM). Some of the prime objectives of the event are to promote German culture, build new friendships among other students who are also learning the German language in this nation and to bring everything that is related to German under one roof and under one event.

For the year 2008 the German Week will be held on the 26th to the 28th January. Activities during that week include speech contest, exhibitions (by German companies and institutes), Futsal tournament, film plays, “Amazing Race” and of course, German Film Competition. The venue for the German Week 2008 is Intec UiTM, Seksyen 17, Shah Alam.

Vorschläge (Suggestions)

• Use anything to record (handphones, webcam, camcoder, etc.)
• Be as creative as possible
• Speak German, don’t talk.
• Don’t know a single word of German? It’s never too late to learn! This is your chance to learn the language and join this competition. From online to books in the library, the source is there available! You might be surprised of how fast you can learn this magical language. ;-)
• You don’t need to be super awesomely good to be able to join this competition. Shoot and show off your German skills!

Die Regeln (The Rules)

Here are the rules for all of you who are interested in joining

• Maximum of 15 minutes, minimum 8 minutes
• No sensitive issues (Racism, Political, Religion)
• MUST be in German (Participants have to minimize the usage of other languages, if they have to use other language(s))
• Please be aware that the films would be presented to the general public, hence try to keep it suitable.
• Our decisions are final. We reserve the right to make any changes without informing
• Try to keep your film legal (don’t plagiarize or use pirated materials (hehe, you get what I mean right?) )
• Please send in digital format. No tapes or cassettes please…
• Send the entry with name, address and contact number to
